Snap in mount

Snap in mount nose pads are nose pads that are pressed into an opening that will create retention enough to allow the nose pads to stay in place.  Due to the fact that the sound made from one of these nose pads popping into place is a snapping sound.  Although there really is one common snap in mount, there have been rare deviations to cause the same effect.  Most common snap in mount found among eyeglasses is the rectangular opening with small interior nubs that allow the rear or base of the nose pad to pop into place and yet have something to keep the pads in place.
